Research and Development
STB SW
Work contents
STB SW development is categorized into the three groups of “Device Driver,” “Middleware” and “Application”
1. Device Driver
Categorized into major “Driver” work of OS posting that can run STB, configuration of “MPEG Chip” functions, “CAS (Conditional Access System) Driver” and “Peripheral Device Driver”
2. Middleware
Develop broadcasting specifications according to customer demands through cooperation with “Middleware” developers selected by the client
3. Application
In charge of developing UI (user interface) according to the user scenario requested by the client as well as IP network (DLNA, UPnP, Browser) based technologies resulting from the development of other IP technologies.
Necessary skills
- CAS/DRM (NDS, Nagravision, Conax, Irdeto, Verimatrix, etc.) or
- Linux OS, Linux System Driver, File System, Linux Security or
- IP Network (TCP/IP/UDP/DHCP/IGMP etc.), Browser
Preferred candidates
- Foreign language (English)
- Experience in BroadCom, ST, etc.
- Experience in developing Middleware (NDS, OpenTV, etc) and STB Open SW Platform

STB HW
Work contents
- Configure best functions at an optimal cost through research on IT HW products that are being developed rapidly, and through partnerships with platform suppliers
- Design overall system circuits of STB, Cooperate with design / tool / SW designers for mass production of final products
Necessary skills
- Ability to analyze circuits of IT products and design power part and RF terminals
- Adaptability to cooperate with certification and outside institutes with domestic and foreign parts companies
- Skills: RF tuner design abilities, DDR and other memory block design, flash memory block design, X-TAL power part design, DC-DC, AC-DC power design, EMI/EMC, and integration of technologies of various circuit fields.
Preferred candidates
- Foreign language (English), experience with RF tuner design, experience with STB system HW design
- PVR product design experience (Broadcom, ST-MICRO), power part design experience.

Smart OTT
Work contents
Apply Android in set-tops, which is spreading worldwide, to supply various models in the market
- 1) Android potting in various set-top chip solutions and system work such as developing device drivers optimized for set-tops
- 2) Middleware operations for businesses and mass production support for efficient manufacturing/mass production
Necessary skills
- Need version management tool operating abilities in git, repo for collaborative work at high volume sources
- System potting, optimization and debugging abilities for Android systems based on an understanding of Boot-loader and Kernel
- Need to understand data sheet of devices, cooperate with hardware engineers, and have debugging skills when problems occur
- Understanding and potting skills related to DRM to protect contents according to business demands
Preferred candidates
- Foreign language (English), experience with Android set tops, Android BT Sig, HDMI/HDCP Dolby certification
- Ability to edit and debug BT Stack and Framework

Work contents
- In-house design is the part in charge of the image and competitiveness of the company for tool development and innovative designs
- Tool development and design operations are carried out in a single department for work efficiency, and there is a one-stop process for comprehensive schedule management for shortening developing time and production delivery
Necessary skills
Requires overall understanding of product and experience with STB
- Experience with product design
- Visual design experience for packaging
- Design and mold management experience for tool development
- UI (user interface) design experience according to user demands
Preferred candidates
- Foreign language (English) proficiency
- Experience with STB and work experience in IT industry, experience in manufacturing industry development, and overseas work experience (China, Indonesia, Vietnam, etc.)
